A picture may be worth a thousand words, but a visual can convey so so much more.

... and the means to create professional-looking visuals are now available to every journalist, often for free. Apply yourself for one day and you will be able to:

• Select the best way to show your data;
• Translate numbers to comprehensible pictures for your reader;
• Tell stories using maps;
• Make the details and the overall picture balance perfectly;
• Quickly mock up visuals for the graphics department to polish (if you feel it is absolutely necessary); and,
• And do this all, for free.

There are more options for creating mind-blowing visuals than ever before. This course will guide you through some options and show you how to render data into stunning visuals.
Who should attend: This one-day course is suitable for journalists and layout subs to wrap their heads around world best practice visual creation.
