The Institute for the Advancement of Journalism (IAJ) has successfully hosted the 5th Annual Finance and Public Sector Audit Reporting on the 24th and 25th October 2022 in the Western Cape this year.
The Workshop was Facilitated by seasoned Facilitator Reginald Rumney. This year the IAJ have hosted 23 community and mainstream media journalists from the Western Cape, some of the delegates hail from organisations like: SABC, CPTU, KC Radio, Sibonele FM, Valley FM and more.
The objective of the programme which is delivered in association with the Auditor General of South Africa (AGSA), the Standing Committee on Public Accounts (SCOPA) and the South African Local Government Association (SALGA) is to strengthen reporting skills and address skills deficiencies in the specialised area of Finance and Public Sector Audit Reporting.
Participants received presentations from AGSA as well as SALGA and briefly taken through virtual presentation by SCOPA.
Through this workshop, participants were introduced to new techniques, enhanced knowledge and technical skills needed to effectively understand, analyse, interpret and report across all media platforms to your target audiences.
The course was fully funded by Absa bank.
