SANEF Reporting on Courts Webinar Series

The South African National Editors’ Forum (SANEF) in collaboration with the Institute for the Advancement of Journalism (IAJ) has successfully hosted a webinar series which focused on Reporting on the courts.

In October 2021 the SA National Editors Forum released an RFP for a series of

webinars to accompany its relaunch of its Reporting the Courts manual.

The IAJ approached industry experts to Facilitate and contribute to the development of the webinar course content and delivery. The aim of the webinar series was to inform journalists about the elements of court reporting and to provide additional material to the areas that were covered in the manual.

The webinars would be accompanied with the launch of a SANEF Court Reporting

portal, which would house the webinars along with various resources that

journalists could access on an ongoing basis.
